For piano technicians

Your whole business, one app.

Cantus is client, calendar, money, and piano-care software built by a working piano technician. It runs your whole business — and it runs offline in the basements and church halls where the signal doesn't reach.

On the roadmap

What's coming next.

Accessibility improvements

Screen-reader labels, keyboard navigation, and landmark headings are already built in — along with multi-currency and mile/km settings for international technicians. Next up: a high-contrast display mode, with more refinements ongoing.

📦

Inventory tracking

Log your parts and supplies, track quantities, and get alerts when stock runs low — tied into your expense tracking automatically.

👥

Multi-technician accounts

Shared client list and calendar with separate logins for each tech — built for shops with more than one tuner on the road.

📑

General ledger accounting

Double-entry bookkeeping, chart of accounts, and balance sheets — so you don't need a separate accounting tool alongside Cantus.

📋

Deeper reporting & tax exports

Profit & loss by period, cash flow statements, Schedule C-ready exports, quarterly estimates, and 1099 tracking — everything your accountant needs.

📱

Google Play availability

Cantus is already on the Apple App Store. Android support — installing like a native app from Google Play, with push notifications, while still working offline — is next.

💬

Appointment confirmations

Automatic text or email 24–48 hours before each visit — the single most effective way to reduce no-shows.

💰

Client retention workflows

Visual pipeline from new client to loyal regular — with automated nudges at each stage so nobody quietly slips away.

Technicians using Cantus shape what gets built next. Your feedback moves features up the list.

From the field

"Switching to Cantus saves me around $180 a month compared to what I was paying before — and it does more."

Dewald van Deventer · RPT — South Africa

"Cantus solved the problem of being unorganized in my piano tuning life. It’s an excellent tool that is incredibly user friendly, simple yet effective, and cost effective as well. I don’t think that I could live without the ability to have a searchable database of all of my clients, services and pianos."

Fair questions

The things you're right to ask.

Who's behind Cantus?

Davis Moore — a working piano technician in Greenwood, South Carolina (CPT, Piano Technicians Guild member), running a full tuning and repair practice. Cantus started as the software he built to run his own business because nothing else fit. Every feature exists because a real service call needed it. When you email support, he's the one who answers.

What happens to my data if Cantus goes away?

Your data is yours, full stop. A built-in backup tool exports everything — clients, pianos, service history, invoices, photos — anytime, in one tap, no permission needed. If you cancel, your data is held for 30 days in case you return, then permanently deleted. And you're never locked in: there's no contract, and your export works on day one, not just on the way out.

Can I delete my account myself?

Yes. Account deletion is available directly from Settings — no email required, no waiting on a reply. It's a one-way action: your account and data are queued for permanent removal once you confirm.

Is my client data private?

Fully. Each account's data is isolated at the database level — enforced by the database itself, not just the app. Nothing is sold, shared, or used for advertising. Payments run through Stripe, so card numbers never touch Cantus at all. The details are in plain English in the privacy policy.

Is there a waitlist or invite process?

No — Cantus is open. Sign up at app.getcantus.com and you're in; no invite, no waiting period. If you'd rather ask a question first, use the form below and we'll get back to you.

Does it really work offline?

Yes — appointments, client records, and service logs work without signal and sync when you're back in coverage. On the web app you'll need to have signed in beforehand; the upcoming App Store version makes offline fully seamless.
